Open to all Valencia Hills children who can swim the length of the pool unaided. Practice prepares swimmers for competitive meets — coaches build endurance, condition muscles, and improve technique. Not a substitute for swim lessons.

Santa Clarita Swim League Release and Waiver

Volunteer Participation: I agree, as parent(s)/legal guardian(s) of my child, that I have voluntarily applied to the Santa Clarita Valley Swim League to allow my child (children) to participate in the Valencia Hills Swim Team. Assumption of Risk: I AM VOLUNTARILY PERMITTING MY CHILD TO PARTICIPATE IN THESE ACTIVITIES WITH THE KNOWLEDGE OF THE POTENTIAL DANGER INVOLVED. I HEREBY AGREE TO ACCEPT ANY AND ALL RISKS OF INJURY OR DEATH, AND VERIFY THIS STATEMENT. Release of Waiver: In consideration for being permitted by the Valencia Hills Homeowners Association to participate in these activities and use their facilities, I hereby agree that I, my assignees, heirs, distributes, guardians, and legal representatives will not make a claim against, sue or attach the property or assets of the Associations for injury or death resulting from my child's participation in the Santa Clarita Swim League. Indemnification: I HEREBY AGREE TO INDEMNIFY AND SAVE AND HOLD HARMLESS the Associations, their affiliated organizations, employees, agents, contractors or volunteers from any loss, liability, damages, attorney's fees or costs they may incur due to my child's participation in the Santa Clarita Swim League. Knowing and Voluntary Execution: I HAVE CAREFULLY READ THIS AGREEMENT AND FULLY UNDERSTAND ITS CONTENTS. I AM AWARE THAT THIS IS A RELEASE AND WAIVER OF LIABILITY AND INDEMNITY AGREEMENT AND SIGN IT OF MY OWN FREE WILL.

Volunteer Commitment Agreement

As part of the Santa Clarita Swim League, our Valencia Hills WAVE swim team is a volunteer-led community group that is made possible by every family participating in volunteering. We rely on your support to run the meets & events. Every family that registers this year commits to volunteer at least 20 hours.

I understand that volunteering 20 hours is part of my family's commitment to have my child participate in WAVE Swim. I understand that my $200 volunteer fee will be returned at the end of swim season on the condition that my family volunteers a minimum of 20 hours in order to support the WAVE swim meets and events being held.
